Our quality is deeply rooted in our expert know-how, based on continuous and effective internal and external staff training courses, and of course on experience exchange activities within our GALLUP INTERNATIONAL network. Our experience (as the oldest institute in Switzerland) has led to the development of 'Best Practice’ guides for a range of different problems. This is enhanced further by our manageable size and continuous project control measures.
For us, quality begins with the very first quote – with problem understanding, the creation of various solutions and the development of a modular offer.
Quality is an inherent part of every stage of the project:
In quantitative projects:
– The project managers constantly monitor the quality
of the fieldwork
– Fieldwork and response rate monitoring, along with
sample coverage controls, are planned and carried out
as a matter of course.
– Our network of interviewers is maintained constantly,
thus guaranteeing an optimal team compilation for each
project.
– In addition to basic initial training and regular courses
thereafter, our interviewers are provided with clear,
project-specific instructions (sometimes also explained
together with the client)
– CATI: Two supervisors are always present
(to listen/observe), and the results of these sessions
form the basis of subsequent qualification and wage
discussions.
– Face-to-face: The data collected is checked afterwards
– The validity and usefulness of research instruments
are ascertained and checked during a standard pilot
phase (pre-test).
– Results (tables, diagrams, texts) or reports are
carefully developed, in complete accordance with the
client's requirements.
In qualitative studies:
– Concerning qualitative studies, new recruitment
processes are carried out for each project
(no data bank).
– In addition to screening criteria, we assess the
candidate’s verbalisation abilities.
– For each specific project, we search for the best
spatial and technical solutions; research moderators,
technicians, recording secretaries and client advisers
can all be arranged.
– Our pool of experienced moderators enables us to
select candidates based on scientific or methodic
requirements, topic, sector or language skills
(i.e. bilingual).
– The qualified and constantly trained moderators or
qualitative project managers are always supervised
by Senior Consultants (for moderation and analytical
purposes).
– Direct observation, video recording and protocols
ensure effective interview monitoring.
– For the purposes of information compression and
specific answers to questions, we would be happy to
provide a written report (with main results, further
aspects and original quotes). This enables the optimal
use of our researchers' methodical and analytical
experience, in addition to their neutral point of view.
Quality also means: we are still there for you after your results have been delivered!
